Before jumping straight into Maya, I thought I just want to get some idea about movements & behavior of the creature that I'm going to animate. therefore i read some books related to these kind of creature animations, example for Eadweard Muybridge's books, Force Animal Drawing, Survival Kit...etc. And I Sketched few poses that useful to get the idea.
Watz Up I'm Madushan, character animator who hopes to deliver great stories with action. I'm really good at bringing puppets to life, that keeps my heart pumping blood through my veins, It keeps live & I wish someday my work will be on big screen, this is my host that keeps Y' all update.

Got the Job (Lead Animator)
This is the Upcoming feature film that I'm working these days, barely started to work on 15 Sept 2014.
Highlight was, this movie is the first 3d animated feature film in Sri Lanka that was used performance capture technology, but you will never notice the technology behind this movie you will be amazed by the story content & comedy that performed by many Major comedic voice artists all over the country (Sri Lanka). Facial animation of this movie was fully functioned by key frame animation method. Film yet to be released in 2017, I'm happy to have an exposure in a film like this working as the Character Lead Animator with among experienced team of good Artists.

Jog cycle Final spline
Cleaned all knee pops, reduced the arm swing a bit and cleared the exaggerated breaking joints in arms. Can't speed up the run cycle because I planned the Goon running like a little bit exhausted. Run is in 10f per step bit more like a speed of a jog.

Jog Cycle Spline
After many spline passes I came up with this. Had no time for lighting & rendering to preview this animation, just Playblasted the scene in viewport 2.0.
Here's the orthographic views of the run cycle. Need to reduce the arm swing, because too much arm swing representing a fast run.

Jog cycle Blocking
Blocked all contact positions & up & down positions in stepped key mode. In this animation Goon rig moves in 10f per step.

Character Walk cycle Final
Lighted the scene by poor mans global illumination technique, creating a light dome with soft shadows that provides an ambient occlusion effect to the scene. Spent so many hours on quality rendering because of ray traced soft shadows on.

Character walk cycle spline 2
Critiques I have got for this walk was to tween the arm swing a bit to match torso & legs, and have to twist the foot a little bit.

Character walk cycle Spline
After splining process, I think that the feminine walk mood has came a bit, that's what i wanted in this scene. Need to tween the foot flop, and have to find a Female mode of Norman to transfer these animation to it, for more appeal.
